Former Special School Headteacher with experience in primary, secondary and special schools. Led autism additional resourced provision in secondary school and carried out SEND outreach work in primary and secondary mainstream schools. Last headship was of a large primary special school judged by Ofsted as Outstanding. Received the School Leadership Award. Currently a specialist panel member on tribunal panels for Education, Health and Social Care hearings. Also works as an NAHT representative and SEND education consultant, supporting schools through Improvement Partner work and delivery of SEND training.

Worked with pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism, complex, moderate and severe learning difficulties. Has a B.Ed and an M.Ed in special education and is trained in a range of SEND interventions and approaches including PECS, TEACCH and Intensive Interaction.
