Evelyn has decades of educational leadership experience and was Headteacher of Copthall School, from 2016 to 2023. She won the TES Headteacher of the Year Award in November 2020, followed shortly by an MBE in the 2021 New Year’s Honours List. In addition to this she was ASCL’s President 2022-23 and remains a member of their Executive Team and Chair of ASLC PD. After concluding her tenure in formal leadership roles, Evelyn remains actively involved in the education sector, providing consultancy services to schools and educational bodies on issues of leadership, equity, and school improvement strategies. She currently works with both Senior and Middle Leaders in a coaching and mentoring capacity to embed strong leadership practices.

Exceptionally skilled in forming strong relationships to support school Leaders with developing and sustaining school culture, driving change, holding staff to account and managing complex HR challenges. Coaching, mentoring and embedding EDI best practice is also an area of expertise.
