Secondary education leader with 33 years of teaching experience and 18 years as a headteacher. Led his school to an outstanding Ofsted rating. Developed an evidence-informed approach to teaching and learning with Alex Quigley, and established one of the first Research Schools in the EEF’s network. Chaired the York Schools and Academies board for 5 years. Currently a WalkThrus consultant and co-author of several popular educational books, including the ‘Huh’ series with Mary Myatt and ‘Putting Staff First’ with Jonny Uttley.
