Richard has been working in primary education for thirty-two years. Taught in the primary phase and had four headships across boroughs. Has been a school improvement adviser and senior adviser to a wide range of schools in the UK. Served as an Ofsted inspector for over 18 years, and a lead inspector for the last 15 years.

Has qualified teacher status; Gained the National Professional Qualification for Headship; Carried out section 5 and section 8 inspections for Ofsted in nursery, infant, junior, primary and secondary schools.
