We are looking for an excellent and inspirational teaching support assistant to join us in an exciting opportunity to be part of a team moving into a new provision and expanding a specialist SEND unit in the heart of Edmonton.

We are looking for a competent practitioner to;

  • Complement the teacher’s delivery of the curriculum under the direction and supervision of qualified teachers
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and share in their responsibility for the development and education of all pupils
  • Use their knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes

Responsibilities will include;

  • Contribute to teachers’ planning and preparation of lessons at various stages of the planning cycle including resources
  • Provide support for children, within the team, when a teacher is unavailable
  • Support teachers in evaluating pupils’ progress through a range of assessment activities
  • Implement all school policies relating to behaviour and safeguarding
  • Contribute to curriculum development, school policies and procedures
