HARINGEY EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP is looking for a lead for Governor Services to work with its member schools and colleges

Job: Lead for Governor Services

Location: Hornsey School for Girls, Inderwick Road, London N8 9JF

Contract: Full time (term-time working will be considered)

Salary: Up to £50k for an exceptional candidate, with generous annual leave and pension

We are seeking to engage a Lead for Governor Services who is able to work in partnership with our schools to deliver the best governor services available anywhere. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering: advice and guidance, governor training, recruitment and retention, and leading the clerking offer.

Haringey Education Partnership is recruiting Consultant Improvement Partners to work with our member schools.

Haringey Education Partnership is a not for profit schools led school improvement company established by Haringey schools in partnership with the local authority. We are a growing company that is working with schools in a number of London Authorities.

We want to inspire our member schools to deliver their best for children and young people. Our mission is to raise outcomes for all and for HEP schools to be as good as, or better than, anywhere in the country. We strive for the highest standards and expect every member school to achieve at least Good and an increasing proportion of our schools to be Outstanding, whatever their starting point.

To achieve this, HEP aims to deliver the best school improvement available. We work closely with each one of our member schools to provide tailored support and challenge. We foster a strong collective ethos, empowering schools to work together and hold each other to account. We also keep our schools ahead of the curve and connect them to the most exciting and innovative thinking, projects and partnerships.

We are seeking to engage the highest quality professionals to join our Consultant Improvement Partner team. We expect our Improvement Partners to have current or recent Headship experience and a strong understanding of school improvement to work with our member schools in and beyond Haringey.

Partners would be required to commit to a minimum of 10-20 days each academic year.

Governor Support Officer and Clerk

Haringey Education Partnership has openings for Governor Support Officer and Clerks to join our friendly and high performing team. This is an exciting opportunity for able and motivated individuals with an interest in school governance.

Haringey Education Partnership is a not for profit schools-led company established by schools in partnership with the Local Authority. We are a growing company working with schools in a number of Local Authorities.

As a Governor Services Officer and Clerk you will:

  • Be the Clerk to the governing body, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, and with the Headteacher and other governors
  • Actively support the governing body in fulfilling its strategic role
  • Be responsible for the administration of the governing body and to provide advice and guidance on procedures, legislation and local and national developments in school governance as appropriate
  • Attend twice termly briefings and other training as required

Salary: Up to £225 per governing body meeting plus generous pension
