Primary Languages Workshop
“How the new Ofsted Framework can support the development of high quality primary languages provision” delivered by Bernadette Clinton
“Our research has shown that some schools narrow the curriculum available to pupils, particularly in key stage 2 and 3. […] Inspectors will be particularly alert to signs of narrowing in key stage 2 and 3 curriculums “(section 174 Ofsted Framework 2019)
In this workshop, we will explore how the Ofsted 3Is of Intent, Implementation and Impact can support schools in developing a coherent and robust languages curriculum. This will be a practical session using resources in French and Spanish to demonstrate how teachers can plan, deliver, assess and record learning in languages at primary level. Materials will be provided to help with follow-up work in schools.
